About Us

Hi there! 

I'm Sam , the owner and lead floral designer behind Bloem Floral Artistry.  I am a natural born creative; creativity shapes every part of my life.  When I'm not lost in flowers, you can find me teaching a yoga class, in the kitchen experimenting with a new recipe, or reimagining the spaces around me - always with a keen eye for detail. 

My connection to flowers runs deep. 

For as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to nature. Growing up at the Jersey Shore, I found comfort and inspiration in nature. But this passion was truly shaped by my Dutch heritage and inspired by my Oma, Erica. 

She grew up in Holland, specifically The Hague. Erica, her parents and siblings endured World War II in The Netherlands, surviving on tulip bulbs through the war. In 1951 she immigrated  to America with her Family to Ellis Island when she was just 18. 

Her strength, resilience, and appreciation for beauty live on through my work. My brand is a tribute to her legacy and the passion for flowers that has always lived in my veins.
